About Us

The Riverside Pilot's Flying Club was established at KRAL over 40 years ago with a mission to provide safe and affordable flying. Our club continues to operate by this mission today, maintaining our member-owned aircraft to the highest caliber.

Memebership is limited to a maximum of 30 members, each with different missions and flight goals. Pilots include retired commercial pilots, law enforcement pilots, student pilots, and recreational pilots that range from being brand new to flying to those that have thousands of hours in the seat.

We own and operate three aircraft - Cessna 172, Cessna 182, and Piper Cherokee PA28-235. Each airplane has a designated plane captain, and our club has a maintenance officer to coordinate maintenance. Our aircraft undergo meticulous maintenance and regular upgrades. The Cessna 182 recently receved a new Garmin G3X and the Piper Cherokee a new autopilot. New engines were installed on the Cessna 182 in 2024, and the Cessna 172 in 2025. All 3 aircraft received new paint jobs within the last several years.

Most of our members enjoy flying the aircraft all over the western United States, most often up and down the California coast, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Colorado. We've even had an aircraft fly all the way to Air Venture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin!

Our club promotes events including monthly meetings and plane washes, quarterly safety meetings, hangar bbqs, club flights and just catching a ride together. To ensure safety and proficiency, pilot members are required to participate in a number of safety meetings per year.

We are located at the Riverside Municipal Airport (KRAL) "G" Hangars - schedule a time to visit us!
